Gulfstream G700 obtained FAA certification
On March 29, 2024, Gulfstream Aerospace announced the successful obtaining of the type certification of their G700 with FAA, paving the way for commercial sales of the aircraft.
Gulfstream G700 is the business jet with the best performance so far, showing a flight range of 14.353 km (7.750 nautical miles) and a near-transonic speed of 1154 km/h (0.935 mach).
By obtaining the FAA type certification, the aircraft manufacturer also claimed to have made two performance improvements: a balanced field take-off distance of 1.827 meters (5,995 feet) and a landing distance of 960 meters (3,150 feet).
In-flight performance parameters are not the only features distinguishing the G700 from the Gulfstream fleet and competitors. The new aircraft is said to be the most noise-isolated and cabin-comfortable, also using a system of non-recirculated air.
Gulfstream Aerospace is a subsidiary of General Dynamics, an aerospace and defense company based in Virginia, USA.
