Adventia
Adventia is a flight school associated with the University of Salamanca, thus, it offers official higher education studies in aviation. Adventia trains at Salamanca Airport (SLM).
It offers a variety of aviation training programs tailored to meet the needs of aspiring pilots, whether they are just beginning their journey or seeking advanced certifications. Adventia is known for providing high-quality training that complies with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards.
1. Integrated ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License)
- Integrated ATPL (A): This comprehensive program is designed for individuals with no previous flight experience. It combines theoretical knowledge, flight training, and simulator sessions to take students from zero to becoming a fully qualified commercial pilot with a Frozen ATPL. The program includes over 750 hours of theoretical instruction and around 200 hours of flight training.
2. Modular Training Programs
- Private Pilot License (PPL): This is the foundational course that allows individuals to fly as private pilots. The course includes 100 hours of theoretical training and a minimum of 45 hours of flight training.
- ATPL Theory: This course is intended for pilots who already hold a PPL and want to obtain the ATPL. It covers the 14 ATPL subjects over approximately 650 hours of theoretical instruction.
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL): This program is for PPL holders who wish to advance to commercial aviation. It includes 25 hours of flight training, focusing on the skills needed for commercial flying.
- Multi-Engine Piston Rating (MEP): This course qualifies pilots to fly multi-engine aircraft. It typically includes around 6 hours of flight training.
- Instrument Rating (IR): This course is essential for pilots who want to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). It combines 50 hours of simulator training and 15 hours of flight training.
- Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR): A combined course that provides both MEP and IR training, preparing pilots to fly multi-engine aircraft under IFR conditions.
3. Flight Instructor Courses
- Flight Instructor (FI): This course is for pilots who wish to become certified flight instructors. It involves extensive theoretical instruction, flight training, and focuses on teaching methods and student evaluation.
- Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI): This course prepares experienced pilots to teach instrument flying, covering both theoretical knowledge and flight instruction.
- Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI): This course enables pilots to instruct others on multi-engine aircraft, focusing on the unique challenges of multi-engine operations.
4. Advanced Training Courses
- MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) Course: This course prepares pilots to work in a multi-crew environment, focusing on crew resource management, communication, and teamwork in a two-pilot cockpit. It includes 25 hours of theoretical instruction and 20 hours of simulator training.
- JOC (Jet Orientation Course): Designed to bridge the gap between general aviation and commercial jet operations, this course includes simulator training to familiarize pilots with jet aircraft performance and procedures.
- Night Rating: A short course that allows pilots to fly at night. It includes 5 hours of flight training focused on nighttime operations.
- PBN (Performance-Based Navigation): This training focuses on modern navigation methods that are increasingly required in contemporary airspace.
5. Airline Preparation Programs
- Airline Interview Preparation: This program offers training to help pilots succeed in airline selection processes, including simulator assessments, technical knowledge reviews, and interview techniques.
- English Language Proficiency (ICAO Level 4/5/6): Language training aimed at achieving the required ICAO English proficiency levels, which are crucial for pilots operating internationally.
6. Type Rating Courses
- Adventia also offers type rating courses in collaboration with airline partners and other training organizations. These courses qualify pilots to operate specific aircraft types, combining both theoretical and practical training components.
Facilities and Equipment
Adventia is equipped with a fleet of modern training aircraft and advanced simulators that provide a comprehensive training experience:
- Aircraft Fleet: The academy operates a variety of single-engine and multi-engine aircraft, such as Cessna 172 and Piper PA-34 Seneca, equipped with modern avionics like the Garmin G1000.
- Simulators: Adventia uses high-fidelity simulators, including FNPT II devices, for MCC, JOC, and other advanced training.
Additional Programs
- Cabin Crew Training: Adventia also offers training for individuals aspiring to become cabin crew members, covering safety procedures, customer service, and emergency management.
